Belmont Park is an iconic amusement center that is located on the surf and sand of Mission Beach. The amusement center dates back to 1925, where visitors still ride the Giant Dipper, an original wooden roller coaster, which sits majestically along the ocean and boardwalk of Mission Beach.  The park offers free parking and free park admission and is loaded with concession stands to fine dining eateries, amusement rides, arcade, laser tag, zip line and a  roller coaster!

Belmont Park is the optimal oceanfront destination for event planning.  The park has four unique oceanfront venues perfect for any event. Their experienced staff specializes in birthday parties, weddings and a favorite for corporate events.

Visit this exciting North County children’s museum and experience a world of wonders with hands-on activities for kids up to age 10. Interactive exhibits focus on science, art, and world cultures and are separated into four distinct areas: Explore, Imagine, Experiment, and Discover. Children can set sail on the Discovery Sailboat, travel to the Kids Global Village, feed chickens in the Children’s Discovery Garden, and uncover a whole dinosaur fossil in the Base Camp dig site year round. With four miles of meandering cobblestone pathways bordered by ponds, lakes, fountains and colorful landscaping plus a quarter-mile slate boardwalk along the San Diego Bay, it’s easy to enjoy an afternoon wandering through the shops, walking the promenade and taking in the scenery.

SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure is separated into four distinct zones – Welcome to the Space Age, The Race to the Moon, Life in Space Today and Our Future in Space. With hand’s-on learning experiences, selfie stations on the Moon, Mars and the International Space Station, and informative videos and smart touch screens – SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure is an immersive experience for explorers of all ages.

See the actual Apollo 9 Command Module “Gumdrop,” as well as examples of Mercury and Gemini space capsules and a complete Apollo Command Service Module. Want to land the Space Shuttle or dock it with the International Space Station? Sit in a Mercury capsule? Take a selfie in a Mars space suit or see a life-size Mars rover? SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure is free and open to the public with paid general admission to the San Diego Air & Space Museum, seven days a week, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and Residents Free Tuesdays.
