Take note of La Jolla Music Society’s dynamic 55th Anniversary Winter Season, kicking off October 7, 2023, and continuing through June 2024. With 11 different series, including piano, chamber, recital, jazz, dance, global roots, kids, speakers and more, it’s the company’s biggest season yet.

In all, the 2023–24 Winter Season offers 71 events, featuring more than 75 different artists, ensembles, and speakers. Of those, more than 40 are LJMS debuts, with many also being San Diego or regional debuts.
The 55th season will also mark the fifth anniversary of the opening of LJMS’ home venue, the elegant Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center. The Conrad, as the two-story arts complex is also known, features two performing venues: the 513-seat Baker-Baum Concert Hall and the more intimate cabaret-styled The JAI, which can accommodate 116 people seated at tables and 170 in rows of chairs. A recipient of an Orchid Award presented by the San Diego Architectural Foundation, the facility has been hailed for its outstanding design, and comfortable and ambient vibe. Other concerts take place in downtown San Diego at the Balboa Theatre and the Civic Theatre.
