For the last 40+ years, Kansas City Barbeque has provided Thanksgiving dinner at no charge to active duty military personnel. The idea originated when the owner, Martin Blair was growing up in San Diego. His parents would always invite a couple of enlisted sailors who didn’t have any local family to share Thanksgiving dinner.
The Blair’s are glad that they have been able to pass the tradition along, and provide a family atmosphere for those in the military away from home. “We’ve got plenty of TV’s with football games and a fun casual feeling. Anyone interested should contact the restaurant for a reservation so we know how many birds to smoke (619) 231-9680. And, this year we’re also smoking turkey breasts to take home Wednesday November 27 – reserve yours now!” Turkey buffet is 11am- 6pm ( or until the turkey runs out) November 28. Reserve now at (619) 231-9680 or online at kcbbq.net
