Molière’s
Tartuffe
Translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur

Featuring: Kandis Chappell, Shanté DeLoach, Rogelio Douglas III, Bo Foxworth, Katie Karel, Melanie Lora, Kate Rose Reynolds, Bruce Turk, Jared Van Heel, and Christopher M. Williams

Molière’s TARTUFFE, acknowledged as one of the most enduring comedic masterpieces in the theatrical canon, is given an astonishingly clever translation by two-time Pulitzer Prize poet Richard Wilbur. The charlatan Tartuffe worms his way into a wealthy family causing disruption and pandemonium. With wicked precision and brilliantly rhyming verses, this highly satiric comedy skewers religious hypocrisy, duplicity, lust, and self-inflicted chaos. Lovers of classic theatre and ingenious wordplay will not want to miss this inventively entertaining evening. This exciting take on a classic is not to be missed!

Gator By The Bay Announces Initial Artist Lineup for 2025

San Diego’s Largest Music and Food Festival Returns May 8-11, 2025, to Spanish Landing Park

— Tickets on Sale February 6

Laissez les bons temps rouler! The Bon Temps Social
Club of San Diego is pulling out all the stops for the 22nd Annual Gator By The Bay music and
food festival, presented by Events.com. The four-day festival will feature 100+ performances on
7 stages with a stellar lineup of award-winning Louisiana Cajun; Zydeco artists and some of
the hottest names in blues music.

Topping the Zydeco lineup will be Louisiana Music Hall Of Famers Nathan Williams & The
Zydeco Cha Chas and GRAMMY® winner Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys will bring his
Cajun sounds to the event. Fresh off his 2025 BMA nomination for B.B. King Entertainer of the
Year, Blues singer Sugaray Rayford returns to Gator By The Bay, and joining him is one of the
genre’s brightest new stars, Louisiana guitarist D.K. Harrell. The lineup also includes Ozomatli,
Chris Cain, James Intveld, Wayne Singleton & Same Ol’ 2 Step, Selwyn Birchwood, The Revelers,
and Ruben Moreno & Zydeco Re-Evolution. The complete lineup includes 40 of San Diego’s
favorite performers from the genres of zydeco, Cajun, blues, rockabilly, salsa, Americana and
New Orleans jazz.

New for 2025, Gator By The Bay will feature exciting venue enhancements designed to elevate
the attendee experience. Highlights include an expanded parade route, optimized stage
placements for better viewing and a relocated VIP Patron Area along the scenic bayfront
walkway. These updates, inspired by attendee feedback and changes to Spanish Landing Park,
promise to make this year’s festival more immersive and memorable than ever.
“What an extraordinary lineup we have in store this year!” said Peter Oliver, talent director for
Gator By The Bay. “Our mission has always been to bring the very best of Louisiana’s music,
culture & spirit to San Diego and this year’s roster perfectly embodies that goal. From Cajun
stars like Steve Riley, Zydeco standouts like Nathan Williams, Sr., to rising blues star D.K. Harrell,
the talent is simply unmatched. Combined with our exciting new venue enhancements, this
year’s festival is shaping up to be unforgettable.”
A Gator tradition, 10,000 pounds of crawfish will be trucked in from Louisiana, and celebrity
chefs will be featured at the Taste of Louisiana Cooking Pavilion. In addition, the festival
features Mardi Gras parades, dance floors and lessons, expanded Children’s activities, and
delicious Southern cuisine in the Bourbon Street food court.

Gator By The Bay Zydeco, Blues and Crawfish Festival will be held May 8-11, 2025. Discounted
early bird tickets will go on sale February 6, 2025. For more information, please visit
