Is your child a nature enthusiast? Our camps are perfect for Pre-K through 9th graders who love animals, outdoor fun, and learning about conservation.
Camps combine science, games, animal encounters, and outdoor activities to spark a passion for local wildlife.

Spend the summer exploring with the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum! Six exciting weeks of Little Explorers Summer Camp are offered and activities include exploring the deep blue sea, practicing paleontology skills, creating colorful masterpieces, and so much more. Each day of camp includes access to Museum exhibits, hands-on exploration with trained education staff, and an opportunity to make new friends. Campers entering Kindergarten-entering 3rd Grade (4 – 8 years old) may register now for full weeks, set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 17-Aug. 2. Also check out Kindergarten Readiness Camp Aug. 5-9, when the littlest campers practice letter and number recognition, develop social skills through play, dance, sing, and more. Kids in Grades 1-8 are invited to Summer Camp at the Japanese Friendship Garden an Museum in Balboa Park! Grades 1 & 2 are set for June 24-28; Grades 3-5 run June 24-28 and Grades 6-8 will have camp July 8-12. Sessions are half-days and topics include Calligraphy, Taiko (art of Japanese drumming), Koto (Japanese harp), Ikebana (create a work of art using flowers, leaves and branches), Yukata Dressing (sometimes described as yukata kimono, a type of summer kimono) and more. Soar into summer with hands-on fun at at the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s In-Person Camps running weekly from June 10-Aug. 2, 2024. Future aviators or astronauts in grades 1 through 12 can participate in hands-on activities such as building rockets, constructing spacesuits and trying out flight simulators. The Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park offers half-day and weekly Summer STEM Camps for kids June 12-Aug. 16. Hands-on science themes for kids in grades Pre-K-K include Space Explorer, Junior Paleontologist and Sensational Senses. Students in Grades 1-3 can choose Bugs, Rocks and the Wild; Energy ad Forces, Science of Magic and Superheroes; STEM-tastic Camp and other topics. Students in Grades 4-6 can participate in fun themes like Maker Camp, Magic for Muggles; Cool Chemistry and more.
