Your family’s musical exploration starts here! San Diego Symphony musicians share their favorite sing-a-longs, rhymes, dances, and musical games in a series that introduces your youngest listeners to the instruments of the orchestra.

Designed for families with children ages 0 – 5, these interactive, fun, and sensory-friendly concerts are 30 minutes.

Young married couple Ty and Nora are preparing to move into Ty’s childhood home to start a family. While they are busy choosing paint colors, lamps and throw pillows, they learn that Nora is unable to carry the child they so desperately want. So Ty, a trans man, makes the impulsive decision to carry the baby himself.

Ty and Nora’s preparations for parenthood begin to collapse when three mysterious men from Ty’s past inexplicably begin appearing in their new home.

Noah Diaz’s rich, multi-layered, magical drama is full of shrewd insights and humor. Helmed by the Playhouse’s Directing Fellow Kat Yen, All The Men Who’ve Frightened Me is the 12th play to make the jump from our DNA New Work Series to the main stage. Kid City is the perfect place for children aged five and under to learn and develop in a fun and engaging environment. Our play areas and activities are designed to promote social, physical, and cognitive development, with highlights including the Ball Wall, Air Blower, Little Learners Lab, Fire Truck and Supermarket play area. The La Mesa Village Association’s (LMVA) 9^th annual Holiday in the Village event is getting a refresh this year focusing on enhanced holiday traditions that are fully immersed in La Mesa’s charm. This year, the organization will offer new and exciting activities during the one-day event while keeping the annual favorites the community has come to cherish.

One of the biggest changes this year is that all the activities offered will be FREE to guests. The LMVA is adding fun new experiences, including skating on a synthetic “ice” rink, an “All White Wonderland” kids area filled with inflatable bouncies, a Mrs. Claus Reading Nook where families can enjoy listening to holiday-themed stories, an adorable Gingerbread House photo booth, Miniature Golf and a fun-themed Elf Adventure Trail where guests can seek out elves sprinkled throughout local businesses and can enter to win one of the elves!

Treasured favorites returning to the Holiday in the Village event include the cherished “Selfies with Santa”, strolling carolers, holiday performances by local schools, clubs and more, fun-themed holiday stilt walkers – perfect for selfies, and an “Elf Yourself” station where guests can outfit themselves in whimsical elf ears.

The event will also feature a variety of food vendors selling fresh popped kettle corn, hot food items, beverages and more, plus a fresh new variety of vendors to shop for unique holiday gifts! And, as the sun goes down, relax with friends and family around cozy fire pits and take in all the merriment of the season that surrounds you in downtown La Mesa.

“We are so excited for this year’s event! We love our community and are truly grateful for the support they give throughout the year,” says Pam Rader and Michelle Huey, co-chairs for this year’s event. “As a giveback to our community, ALL of our activities are FREE! So, we hope everybody comes to the Village to bounce, “ice-skate”, golf, and selfie the day away!”

The downtown restaurants and retail shops will also be open throughout the event for guests to shop, dine and explore.

The 9^th Annual Holiday in the Village takes place in the heart of downtown La Mesa along La Mesa Blvd. between 4^th Street to Spring St. on Saturday, December 14^th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
