Explore the new Experience the Outdoors Program with the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation. More accessible than ever, the program waives parking fees, provides essential gear like bikes and helmets, and offers translation and transportation assistance to help families turn their curiosity into participation.

• Rad Regional Parks — This event series features one park per month, highlighting all of the “rad” events, activities and recreational opportunities that can and do take place on site.
• Ride On Mountain Biking Challenge — This multi-agency project explores eight popular trails at six County parks and preserves. Ride solo, with a group or with experts at planned meet-ups while coasting along scenic loops and tackling steep climbs. Free bike rentals can be arranged upon request.

Seaport Village hosts family fun in March and you’re invited!

• Get your green on and join Seaport Village for a shamrockin’ good time from noon-3 p.m. March 17! Grab dinner, drinks and dessert from one of the vibrant harbor-side hub’s yummy eateries. Jam out to some Irish tunes before heading over to the pond to snap a selfie in the shamrock light tunnels. If you’re lucky, you might even see a leprechaun!

The 14-acre complex in downtown San Diego offers eclectic shops, waterfront dining and family-friendly entertainment. With four miles of meandering cobblestone pathways bordered by flowing fountains, duck ponds and breathtaking landscapes (plus a quarter-mile slate along the Embarcadero boardwalk), it’s easy to enjoy an afternoon exploring the neighborhood, strolling the promenade, and taking in the scenery.

Oceanside, Calif. — March 1, 2024: Formerly known as “Mother’s Day is Sweet,” Taste of Spring reminisces on the flavors of Taste of Oceanside but with a refreshing springtime twist. Our new spring tasting and shopping event was created to support local restaurants, retail businesses, breweries, and wineries by encouraging residents and visitors to eat and shop local. Indulge in the sweet and savory flavors of Downtown Oceanside featuring the city’s restaurants and shops, as well as Oceanside breweries, wineries, and artisan sweet makers. Taste of Spring will take place in the Downtown District on Saturday, April 20 from 2-5 p.m. with over 25 taste and sip stops.

Tickets are on sale now! They will be available online until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Tickets are limited to 500. Check-in will begin at 1 p.m. on the day of the event at the Civic Center Fountain in front of the Oceanside Public Library at 330 N. Coast Highway. This event is rain or shine.

Adult tickets are $30 for food only and $45 for food and beverage. Children’s tickets are $15. Family Pack (two adults and two kids) are at a discounted price of $100. On the day of Family Pack tickets are $120. Adult ticket prices go up by $5. Children’s tickets remain $15.
