413 Repertory Theater in partnership with the Grand Tea Room is excited to present The Secret Garden: A High Tea Dinner Theater Event based on the beloved novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Performances run February 8th through March 3rd, 2024 at the Grand Tea Room in Escondido.
One of the most recognizable classic stories, The Secret Garden follows the story of orphan Mary Lennox who is sent to live with her reclusive Uncle in the English countryside. Mary discovers a hidden, neglected garden on the grounds of her uncle’s estate and, with the help of her cousin Colin and servant’s son Dickon, brings the garden back to life. At the same time, she brings new life to her uncle and cousin.
413 Repertory Theater’s production of The Secret Garden will transport audiences to early 20th century England.
Before the show, patrons will enjoy a traditional English high tea featuring finger sandwiches, scones, tea, and other treats. The professional cast will then bring Frances Hodgson Burnett’s tale to life on stage using period costumes, music, and dance to fully immerse the audience in the story.
Tickets for The Secret Garden: A High Tea Dinner Theater Event start at $89.00.
