Carlsbad Village’s 39th annual Holiday Tree Lighting is set for Sunday, Dec. 8. As always, the tree is installed at the front entrance to the Village Faire shopping center at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. The Rotary Club of Carlsbad sponsors this annual celebration, which begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. with the tree lighting. Santa will arrive in an antique fire truck courtesy of the Carlsbad Fire Department with his elf and Mrs. Claus. Enjoy candy cane handouts, visits, and an opportunity to take free photos with Santa!
