Based on Sholom Aleichem’s Tevye and his Daughters, Fiddler on the

Roof is the beloved story of the small, tradition-steeped town of Anatevka,

Russia, where Jews and Russians live in delicate balance. During the

course of the show, the time-honored traditions of Anatevka are both

embraced and challenged by Tevye and his colorful community, as they

witness his daughters, Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, grow up and fall in

love in a time of extraordinary change. Fiddler on the Roof is a story

that captures the essential human longings for love, community, success,

freedom, family, and meaning. In 2025, the Tony and Olivier winner

returns to The Moonlight for the first time in more than 10 years.

Kid City is the perfect place for children aged five and under to learn and develop in a fun and engaging environment. Our play areas and activities are designed to promote social, physical, and cognitive development, with highlights including the Ball Wall, Air Blower, Little Learners Lab, Fire Truck and Supermarket play area. This event will take place inside the garden’s gates. They invite guests to make special oni masks, as well as participate in the Mamemaki, or bean tossing event. Special Masu cups filled with Roasted Soybeans for the event will be available for at JFGM’s Performance Area located inside the Inamori Pavilion. Guests can also enjoy performances, demonstrations, crafts, and food. Come join us for an exciting event!
