The Foundation’s Discovery Center overlooks the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, a 400-acre estuary and wetland. This 3,800 sq. ft. building is home to numerous species to interact with and exhibits throughout where docents provide educational tours. Surrounded by hiking trails that overlook the lagoon and acres of marshland, the Discovery Center is home to native birds, plants and wildlife that thrive in this beautiful glimpse of nature. The Center hosts a wide variety of events, including lectures, business meetings, gala dinners, book signings, yoga classes and more. Birthday parties, monthly Kids Klub meetings, Scout Resources, School Programs, Astronomy Nights and Seasonal Camps for Kids are just a few of the many programs supported by the Foundation, benefitting the community.
