Banjo Exhibit at Museum of Making Music
Country duo "Victoria Ghost" joins the Museum of Making Music as the Carlsbad venue opens "The Banjo: A New Day for an Old Instrument" on March 29. Siblings Ashley and Shannon Campbell, who are protégés of their legendary father Glen Campbell, comprise "Victoria Ghost," which blends traditional bluegrass music with a modern sound. The event kicks off a series of banjo concerts all spring and summer long in conjunction with the museum's special exhibition. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 and $28. Draw on Your Artistic Side at Orfila’s Painting Party
Palates and palettes are the focus of a fun afternoon at Orfila Vineyards & Winery in Escondido from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 30. Guests of the the winery's Painting Party are invited to tap into their artistic side while socializing and sipping wine. Cost is $30 + tax for non-members and $27 + tax for OWL club members. Maritime Museum’s Family Day Fun For All
Families can explore ships and stay for free craft activities on the upper deck of the Berkeley during Family Day on May 4 at The Maritime Museum of San Diego.
