Band leaders Charles McPherson and Gilbert Castellanos bring some of the most beloved charts from Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie to the Rady Shell stage, featuring a band made of up of some of the top jazz players in the U.S. Celebrate the best in jazz at this concert, set for Sept. 9. Note: The San Diego Symphony Orchestra does not appear on this program. Musicians from the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory will perform a pre-concert set at 6:35 p.m.
