On Oct. 15, the Japanese Friendship Garden hosts Okabe Takahiro in a Zoom discussion on deep steamed tea known as fukamushi-cha. Okabe-san grew up learning tea ceremony and would later hold Japanese Tea events to promote Kakegawa tea. When opening Tea of the Men, Okabe-san served only fukamushi-cha and discovered that the best way to make Japanese tea depends on the type being served and went to learn from tea farmers and sellers and practice serving tea until they approved.
