Celebrate Black History Month with San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum during storytime!
Every Tuesday in February, museum instructors will read a story to celebrate and recognize the achievements of African Americans in our country. Pictured above is "Ellington Was Not a Street." In this children’s book, Kadir Nelson illustrates Ntozake Shange’s poem “Mood Indigo.” In the poem, Shange remembers her childhood home and the important cultural figures and innovators who gathered there, including W. They've painted inside and out, organized and ordered all the items we need to be in compliance with County requirements.
