Heritage of the Americas Museum Hosts Field Trips for Grade-School Students

Schools are invited to take students on a journey through time at the Heritage of the Americas Museum. Docent-led tours are conducted almost daily throughout the school year. Field Trips are scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon. Transportation grants are available to assist with the cost of buses. Students are free. There is a $2 admission fee for each adult. Students visit the Museum twice during the school year. First, students visit for a docent-led comprehensive field trip tour. Explore 6,000 fish in 60+ habitats at Birch Aquarium at Scripps, now fully open. The venue also has extended hours this summer. Through Aug. 31, the aquarium will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, with last entry at 6 p.m. Educational programs, summer camp fun, and sealife sights have also splashed back.
