Soar into summer with hands-on fun at at the San Diego Air & Space Museum’s In-Person Camps running weekly from late June to mid August. Future aviators or astronauts in grades 1 through 12 can participate in hands-on activities such as building rockets, designing lunar landscapes and trying out flight simulators. Described by The New York Times as one of the “most important artists of his generation,” Igor Levit places his art in the context of social events and understands it as inseparably linked to them. In 2020, he was named Musical America’s Recording Artist of the Year and nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. On Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. he brings a unique program riffing on the genre of musical preludes, including a jazz-influenced piece by Fred Hersch, to The Baker-Baum Concert Hall as part of La Jolla Music Society's Piano Series.
