The Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park plans to host its Children's Summer Camp 2020 throughout July for children in Grades 1-8. Professional instructors offer demonstrations and lessons for language, traditional fashion, etiquette, music, yukata dressing and much more. Heritage of the Americas Museum Hosts Field Trips for Grade-School Students
Heritage of the Americas Museum 12110 Cuyamaca College Drive West, El Cajon, CASchools are invited to take students on a journey through time at the Heritage of the Americas Museum. Docent-led tours are conducted almost daily throughout the school year. Field Trips are scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon. Transportation grants are available to assist with the cost of buses. Students are free. There is a $2 admission fee for each adult. Students visit the Museum twice during the school year. First, students visit for a docent-led comprehensive field trip tour. Fleet Science Center 1875 El Prado, San Diego, CAThe Fleet Science Center invites the Autism Spectrum Community to enjoy early access to galleries 9-10 a.m. and an IMAX showing at 10 a.m. the third Saturday of every month. Adults and families with children with autism can enjoy the Fleet's exhibit galleries in a quieter setting, an hour before regular open hours to the general public and with access to a special cool-off space. Visitors are welcome to stay and enjoy the museum all day. Admission includes a special IMAX film screening at 10 a.m. with the house lights on and a lower soundtrack volume.
