Hear the San Diego Symphony perform works from Rachmaninoff and Mussorgsky on March 16 the San Diego Civic Theatre. Rachmaninoff’s iconic Piano Concerto No. 2 is among the greatest piano showpieces in classical repertoire. The concerto’s emotional peaks and valleys will sparkle in the hands of soloist Sir Stephen Hough. Conductor Lionel Bringuier leads this program that also includes Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain and Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
