Celebrate the Season of Spring With Creativity Online with San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum!
November 7

Activity best for children ages three and up
Can you guess what season brings warm, sunny days and bright, blooming flowers? If you guessed spring, you’re right! Spring is a season full of wonder when nature wakes up from its long winter nap. Some animals, like bears, sleep all throughout winter, this is called hibernation. This deep, restful sleep helps them save energy until food is easier to find again in spring! Spring is also when leaves grow back on trees, bees begin to pollinate helping flowers of all shapes and colors bloom. From tall sunflowers to tiny dandelions, everything in nature comes alive in spring!
While spring begins to blossom, why not make our flowers at home? In this fun craft, we’ll use recycling, which means giving old objects, like paper towel rolls, a brand-new purpose. By turning them into flower stamps, you can create your very own spring flower garden at home. Let’s celebrate the season of spring with creativity!
