Bach’s Winter Reverie the Focus of San Diego Symphony Program
February 9
Witness the virtuosity of San Diego Symphony musicians led by guest conductor Edo de Waart in a program filled with sounds that perfectly complement the beauty of winter on Feb. 9 and Feb. 11. J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe has delighted audiences for centuries and will be performed by San Diego Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Jeff Thayer and Principal Oboe Sarah Skuster. Bach’s Second Orchestral Suite closes with one of the composer’s greatest musical hits, his “Badinerie,” a lively movement featuring SDS Principal Flute Rose Lombardo.
