The family-owned eatery has been a San Diego staple since 1952, when Sicily-native Salvatore Nicolosi opened his first restaurant. The newest locations are in Alpine (Opening Soon!)  and Mira Mesa, which is located at the luxury Casa Mira View Apartments which serves the restaurant’s famous pizzas, subs and salads along with specials. Open daily, with a 4 p.m. start Tues.-Thurs., and pool service running Sat.-Sun. The main Santee location is also well-known for its handmade pizzas, ranging from the spicy Sicilian Pepperoni to the Double Deluxe to the Blanco, as well as classic dishes that transport guests to the old country, such as baked spaghetti, ravioli or lasagna, and a signature Sicilian mac and cheese.
