The outfitter offers daily Sportfishing excursions and the chance to catch yellowtail, halibut, calico bass, and much more! Choose from spectacular half-day, 3/4-day and full-day trips.

Visitors wanting an offshore fishing or sea-going adventure can book an open-party ticket or private charter, will find that the OSC has the boats, experience and staff to accommodate them. Private charters can be arranged for any size group.

At Oceanside SEA Center, first-time anglers will find that no fishing experience is necessary. Friendly deckhands are available to assist passengers with setting up tackle, baiting hooks and helping catch and land their fish. Guests may even take home their catch in a burlap sack or choose to have it cleaned. (Catch-and-release is also optional.) No fishing gear? No problem. Fishing tackle is available for rent while licenses, plus live and frozen bait are available for purchase.

During the 60-minute taxi out to the fishing grounds, enjoy fresh ocean breezes and coastal views, including the Oceanside Pier. Also learn about sustainable fishing and how the food chain works in the ocean. The captains and crew are a fun bunch so be ready for laughs and giggles while learning fishing lingo like “the yellowtail are hitting and the boat is bent.” For light bites, all of the OSC’s boats have full galleys to purchase food and drink.

From mid-December to mid-April, the SEA Center operates three-hour whale-watching excursions. The winter season is a special time to view the spectacular offshore migration of the California Gray Whale. Passengers witness the whales on their incredible journey from the frigid waters of Alaska down to the warm waters of Baja California to give birth.  If you’re lucky, you’ll even see a mother and a calf making their journey home back up the coast.

In addition to Sportfishing and Whale Watching, the OSC offers marine science learning for student explorers, and burial-at-sea remembrances.
