The word Leoness, meaning “village of dreams,” is the inspiration behind the winery owners lifelong quest to create world class wines from some of the finest vineyards in the Temecula Valley. Nestled in the rolling hills and vineyards of on De Portola Road, Leoness Cellars offers a warm, enchanting setting where visitors can enjoy great wines, spectacular views, and wonderful times with family and friends. The current owners founded Leoness Cellars in 2002, on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful rolling hills vineyard estate on De Portola. These 20 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon were planted in 1999 using the finest Cabernet clones and appropriate rootstocks.  The grapes from these vines have been used to craft some of the most enjoyable Leoness wines. Their vast experience has led to a true understanding of growing wine grapes of the highest quality; grapes that are concentrated, balanced, and ripe which will produce wines of incredible depth and flavor. That flavor is what they share every day in the chic, inviting tasting room and on the breathtaking grounds.

For the wedding of your dreams, Leoness Cellars is a hidden gem that offers an ambiance of intimacy and romance.  Residing in the center of Temecula Valley’s Wine Country, the French countryside inspired winery with its enchanting architecture, brick turrets and ivy wall serves as the perfect setting to enjoy your day.  With our ceremony site that sits surrounded by acres of vineyards and mountain views and the largest barrel room in wine country, we offer a truly beautiful vineyard wedding.

As part of the De Portola Wine Trail, Leoness Cellars and its 10 neighboring wineries collectively host two of the most anticipated tasting events of the Temecula Valley Wine Country season each year.

The DWT’s Big Red Fest is held every April at the 11 participating wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail. This culinary/wine tasting event provides noshes from local artisan chefs and restaurants, paired with wines from each of the wineries.
