La Mesa Village Association

Discover the La Mesa Village Association (LMVA), the heartbeat of La Mesa’s historic downtown Village. As a nonprofit led by local businesses and residents, LMVA is committed to enhancing and promoting a thriving, welcoming Village that brings the community together through vibrant, accessible events that keep locals and visitors coming back.

The heart of La Mesa Village  — where La Mesa Boulevard and Spring Street meet — marks the historic core of La Mesa with several surrounding buildings still dotting the area since 1912 when the City of La Mesa was incorporated. With its tree-lined sidewalks, vintage lamp posts, and community-oriented vibe, La Mesa Village blends history with contemporary local culture, serving as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike where they can enjoy one-of-a-kind retail shops, delicious places to dine, and friendly service. The Village also offers a host of beauty and wellness services, such as hair salons, massage, skincare and pilates studios, gyms, and holistic health centers.

Through a dynamic calendar of events like the beloved Farmers Market every Friday, the crowd-pleasing Classic Car Show & Live Music Event in summer, and the mouthwatering Taste of La Mesa Village showcasing the downtown culinary scene, LMVA brings neighbors and visitors together year-round. Signature seasonal festivals such as Halloween in the Village and Holiday in the Village light up the streets with family-friendly fun, live entertainment, and festive charm.

2025/2026 Event Dates:

• La Mesa Classic Car Show & Live Music Event: 5-8 p.m. Thursdays June 5-Aug. 28
• La Mesa Village Farmers Market:  3-7:30 p.m. Fridays (May-September) and 3-7 p.m. Fridays (October-April)
• Halloween in the Village: 4-6 p.m. Oct. 31
• Holiday in the Village: noon-9 p.m. Dec. 13, 2025
• Taste of La Mesa Village: April 2026

Beyond events, LMVA champions lasting community pride, as seen in the soon-to-debut Downtown District Sign, crafted from over 1,500 hand-painted tiles donated by residents and businesses.
