The owners can often be found engaging with customers in the intimate sit down tasting room, one of very few in Temecula. They make certain visitors feel at home when visiting the Estate Winery, making their time both provocative and memorable for an afternoon of luxury.

They believe the true merits of a wine can only be measured if the tasting atmosphere is right. Also that the best things in life require time, and a borderline obsessive attention to detail so all of the varietals are aged in Hungarian Oak or French Oak for a minimum of 18 months. A rarity in wine tasting, they also have ample seating available and monitor the room to avoid overcrowding. Several members of the staff, seated in front of you, talk you through each varietal — be it the owners, the head winemaker, or the incredibly knowledgeable pourers.  Relax and heighten your senses to the fine wine and your surroundings as you enjoy the views, relaxing tunes, and simply kick back for a day you’ll always remember.

As part of the De Portola Wine Trail, Gershon Bachus Vintners and its 10 neighboring wineries collectively host two of the most anticipated tasting events of the Temecula Valley Wine Country season each year.

The DWT’s Big Red Fest is held every April at the 11 participating wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail. This culinary/wine tasting event provides noshes from local artisan chefs and restaurants, paired with wines from each of the wineries. The similarly themed  fall Harvest Festival is held every November, invites guests to enjoy wines — including new vintage releases — from the 11 De Portola wineries along with delectable appetizers.
