Bet on a great time watching Thoroughbred horse racing “Where the Turf meets the Surf” at Del Mar. Hosted by the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club at the iconic Del Mar Racetrack, the annual summer racing season runs from Wednesday, July 19 – Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 while the fall Bing Crosby Meet runs from Wednesday, November 1 – Sunday, November 26, 2017. Both seasons feature exciting concerts, the nation’s top racehorses, trainers and jockeys, and lots of fun in the sun. Summer racing at Del Mar takes place Wednesday through Sunday with the one exception of Closing Day on Labor Day Monday (9/4). First post daily will be at 2 p.m. First post on Fridays will be 4 p.m. with the exceptions of Aug. 25 and Sept. 1 when the first post is 3:30 p.m. Highlights of the summer meet include the Opening Day Hats Contest, the signature $1 Million Pacific Classic on Aug. 19, and the Del Mar Summer Concert Series, held every Friday (plus select Saturdays and Sundays).
