The De Portola Wine Trail association of wineries welcomes you: Cougar Vineyard & Winery, Danza del sol Winery, Fazeli Cellars, Frangipani Estate Winery, Gershon Bachus Vintners, Leoness Cellars, Masia de la Vinya Winery, Oak Mountain Winery and Robert Renzoni Vineyards.
These primarily family-owned wineries are well known throughout the region for their warmth and hospitality. It’s not unusual to find the owners welcoming guests personally as they educate on their unique winemaking processes. They are always happy to share the lifestyle with others through wine tasting, special events, barrel room tours and sometimes just simply sharing a glass of their favorite varietal with their fellow wine enthusiasts.
The Annual Big Red Fest is held every April at the nine participating wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail. This culinary/wine tasting event provides noshes from nine local artisan chefs, paired with three red wines from each winery. These reds are the creme-of-the-crop of the new vintage releases. http://www.deportolawinetrail.com/festivals-and-events
Because Mother Nature was so kind this past year, with the perfect combination of rain and temperatures, 2017 was an extremely abundant and literally fruitful year. These wineries harvested more grapes than the last five years in a row, with not only quantity of yield, but also quality of fruit improving drastically. The results will debut during this annual wine and culinary event. For more information or to reserve tickets please call (855)398-9463.
