Enjoy Smokin’ Hot Food and Outdoor Patio at Kansas City Barbeque! The restaurant and bar area are covered in Top Gun memorabilia, perfect for a photo opportunity.
Because everything on the menu looked so good, I ordered enough to take home. I began with the Combo Dinner of Pork Ribs & Beef Brisket served with coleslaw and onion rings. The brisket was smokey and tender. No need for a knife, as it fell apart with a fork. The Pork Ribs were also extremely tender, fell off the bone and were very meaty. A thick barbecue sauce on top of the meat had a sweet, tangy, spicy flavor. The meats are covered in a rub and then slow-smoked. I really enjoyed the slaw, which was crisp and light with a tangy vinaigrette. The baked beans also had a sweet tang to them.
Besides the combo meal, I also tried the Pulled Pork sandwich with onion rings. The pulled pork was piled high on the bun with lean, tender, smokey pork. The onion rings did not disappoint, as they were quite large, yet crisp and light.
