This has been La Jolla Music Society’s most dynamic season yet, with returning favorites such as Chinese superstar pianist Lang Lang, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by top trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, premier dance company Joffrey Ballet, Latin music singer Lila Downs, and world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell. Also discover new inspiring faces like artist-in-residence and mandolinist Avi Avital, the incredible British sister and brother piano and cello duo Isata and Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and Ukrainian ethno-chaos band DakhaBrakha. Family-friendly concerts include the crowd-pleasing Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and the ConRAD Kids Series, featuring shows by bilingual husband-wife team 123 Andrés and American bluegrass pair The Okee Dokee Brothers. Most concerts take place at the society’s permanent home, the elegant two-story Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in the Village of La Jolla.
