The San Diego Air & Space Museum is celebrating more than 50 years as one of our nation’s largest and most comprehensive aero-themed museums. With its interactive exhibits, simulators and stimulating programs to pique children’s interests, there are extraordinary displays for enthusiasts of all ages to learn and explore. This museum is a must-see and provides a world-class learning experience for the entire family.
Established in 1961, the San Diego Air & Space Museum is the fifth largest aviation museum in the nation, housing the second largest aerospace library and archives. The San Diego Air & Space Museum was the first aero-themed museum to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, and only the 12th institution in California to be awarded Smithsonian Affiliate status.
Be sure to experience the new exhibit SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure a new educational, interactive, one-of-a-kind – and most important of all FUN! — special exhibition exploring mankind’s quest for the stars and how space exploration impacts our daily lives.
