The winemaker has over 40 years of experience in the wine industry receiving hands-on experience with some of the area’s most respected winemakers. He has worked in the Russian River appellation where he had the opportunity to assist in producing award-winning wines. From overseeing the vineyards to creating quality wines, he has brought his passion for winemaking back to Temecula Valley and believes that great wine starts in the vineyard and continues in the cellar with a combination of science, taste, passion and teamwork. That passion creates not only wonderful wines but a wonderful welcoming atmosphere at Masia de la Vinya Winery.

As part of the De Portola Wine Trail, Masia de la Vinya and its eight neighboring wineries collectively host one of the most anticipated tasting events of the Temecula Valley Wine Country season each year.
The Annual Big Red Fest is held every April at the nine participating wineries on the De Portola Wine Trail. This culinary/wine tasting event provides noshes from nine local artisan chefs, paired with three red wines from each winery. These reds are the crème of the crop of the new vintage releases. http://www.deportolawinetrail.com/festivals-and-events
