Enzo’s BBQ & Ale House

For expertly prepared pulled pork, ribs, and everything in between, Enzo’s BBQ & Ale House smokes the competition.

Locals and out-of-towners rave about the tantalizing barbecue texture and taste in each bite at this popular Oceanside restaurant located in the Rancho Del Oro Plaza Shopping Center.

Founded by Vincenzo “Enzo” Mistretta in 2005, the restaurant fuses the American staple with a hint of Italian herbs and spices that enhance the flavor of all of Enzo’s barbecue offerings. The hearty menu includes tender, award-winning baby back ribs, tri-tip, beef brisket, smoked chicken and Angus beef burgers, as well as mouthwatering salads containing fresh, organic mixed greens.

Patrons get especially fired up over the generous barbecue platters such as the Lazy BBQ Chicken, a half-chicken, which is slowly smoked and smothered in spicy BBQ sauce and grilled on an open flame; or Enzo’s Tri-Tip Platter: slow-cooked tri-tip dusted with Enzo’s signature dry rub, thinly sliced and then smothered in sweet barbecue sauce. All platters come with southern beans, creamy cole slaw and corn bread.

Flatbreads are also flat-out sensational. Choose from barbecue chicken or pulled pork bathed in barbecue sauce, a meat-lovers version with Italian sausage, ham, bacon and pepperoni, a garden tomato flatbread, a chicken pesto or organic vegetarian option.

For those desiring Italian dishes, Enzo’s offers a Pasta Break Menu. Patrons can please their palates with favorites like penne primavera, baked ziti, fettucini Alfredo and spaghetti bolognese, among others.

To satisfy the sweet tooth, savor a warm apple cobbler, bread pudding or Bourbon Pecan Pie, a homemade dessert with with pecans, raisins and cinnamon served with bourbon caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Great food aside, the warm and inviting restaurant features an impressive 16 beers on tap and a choice of wines — perfect pairings for the aforementioned Italian entrees. Happy Hour runs from 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 8:30 p.m.-close Fridays and Saturdays with $2 off all draft beer and half off all starters. Taco Tuesdays run from 2-6 p.m.

Open for lunch and dinner daily, Enzo’s also offers patio seating for those wanting to chat it up outdoors. Too busy to dine in? Enzo’s takeout menu is only a phone call away. Be sure to inquire about Enzo’s family packs and amazing catering menu.
